Arrow is a medium sized German Shepherd cross of around 7 years old, in 2011 he was abandoned on the streets and found himself scared and alone amongst a pack of dogs that didn’t take to him well and he spent most of his days scared and alone. If it wasn’t for the kind person that took him under her wing and made sure he stayed safe while still on the streets his story could have ended much differently. His life was never easy and he suffered from the extreme weathers that a Romanian street dog endures day after day, the summers were too hot and the winter so extremely cold. Unfortunately Arrow’s life changed when he was hit by a car which resulted in him damaging his tail which he later lost.
In August 2013 when the killing law began and the street dogs life became so much dangerous than ever before Arrow was cruelly taken by the dog catchers. Luckily his angels were still close by to take care of him and he was rescued once again and taken to a safe place where he waited for someone to give him the chance of the life he deserved. Arrow was meant to travel to me in December 2014 but unfortunately was diagnosed with heart worm and was not able to travel. He’s been treated and is heart worm free and now looking for his perfect happy ever after. He’s such a loving dog who really loves the company of his human companions. He has no issues with people at all, maybe because he’s spent many years being loved by the very people who cared for him.
He is clean in the house and gets on well with other dogs , although I feel he would prefer to live with a female dog, living with a male dog is not impossible. He walks really well on a lead and is beginning to realise that cars are no longer a threat to him, although I do feel he would suit a home in a rural part of the country. I love this dog and he will make a perfect companion to most families. I have had visitors to my house and although a little afraid to begin with, he has no issues at all with any of them. All he needs now is someone to love him and give him a life he so deserves in his later years.
