Fluffy is a 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed. This is the most wonderful little boy called Fluffy. Our charity recently rescued him from an horrific public shelter and he is now safely in his foster home in Stoke on Trent. Fluffy is a lovely dog, very sociable, gentle, sweet nature and likes nothing more than snuggling up to you on the sofa. He gets along perfectly fine with his foster families resident dogs and even to an extent puts up with the cats there too. However it has taken a couple of bops across his nose from the older cat Toffee to put him in his place. Ideally we would advise against cats with Fluffy, he will not harm them but given the chance will chase.
In his foster home he is starting to understand toilet training and is perfectly fine as along as you understand when he is telling you he wants to go outside. He will literally eat everything you put in front of him as he was neglected so horrifically in the shelter that when he arrived in his foster home , was almost a walking skeleton. Fluffy is very eager to please and take immediate notice of the humans in his foster home. He is like a little shadow following you around and would love to be next them all the time. He does this to feel safe and takes a lot of cues from the humans in the house.
Most definitely he has been abused at some point as with new people he is very shy and when first in foster if you raised your hand to reach for something or picked up a broom to sweep the floor he would cower. But slowly his confidence is growing. He looks a little odd now as when he first was rescued his fur was that long and matted he was unable to walk properly as was tangled around his legs, so we had to shave him and his fur is now starting to grow back nicely.
Fluffy would make the wonderful family dog, loyal, observant, quick to learn and is eager to please. As a companion he will be superb as he just wants to be loved. He travels very well in the car and likes to have a good view of whats going on around him. Also walks very well on the lead and is friendly to all he meets. He has shown no aggressive behavior at all in his foster home, however we would advise that he is fed separately if in a home with another dog at least for a few weeks so he realises this is not going to be his last meal and the other dog isn’t trying to steal his food.
Fluffy truly is a wonderful little guy. He does need a little more training as in toilet training but he is getting there, and to be fair to Fluffy he has only been in foster 1 week. But he is doing so very well. He is microchipped, fully Vaccinated (including anti rabies), castrated, fully APHA compliant, dewormed, deflead, regular Vet Checks, has Rescue back up for life, comes with 4 weeks free insurance ( triggered by adopter upon completion of process).
