Haidi is a 1-2 year old female Jack Russell Terrier Cross. This is Haidi she only weighs approx 7kg and unfortunately has found her way onto Death Row. She is a little nervous in the shelter environment probably due to her being small, because of her size she currently shows signs of defensiveness but is not aggressive and once out of the horrible situation she is in at the moment will calm down and come out of her shell. She is very good on lead and with children. Shelter life is very hard on the small dogs as they get severely bullied by the larger dogs, they often have to sleep on hard concrete floors as that is all that is available. With winter coming the dogs will suffer even more, sleeping on freezing cold concrete without a blanket or other warmth. Do you have a warm spot by the fire where she could curl up? could you offer her a way out of the awful situation that she has found herself in through no fault of her own? Haidi is currently waiting for someone to offer her a lifeline so she can come to the UK to the safety and security of a permanent loving home.
Could you offer her a way out?
As you can see, Haidi is accustomed to children, and as she is smaller in size is ideal for a family, probably without very small children who might frighten her. As she is not a puppy she would also suit an active older person looking for a companion. Haidi will be deflead and dewormed, vaccinated (including rabies), neutered and have her own pet passport. She will come with 4 weeks free pet insurance (adopter will need to activate this).
Could you offer Haidi a home?
