In honor of Veteran’s Day, we gathered a collection of photos of our Minnesota veterans and their dogs. Whether they were in each others’ lives prior to or post-service, the one thing we heard over and over again is the phrase “best friend.” From those who saw overseas combat to those providing at-home snuggles, we thank you all for your immeasurable service to our country.
Sgt. Bryan Larson, combat-wounded Purple Heart recipient (Iraq) with his dog Buddy, who is in position and ready to command lap rights. Meanwhile, Larry acts as window sentry. (Submitted by Kim Larson.)
