Major is a huge lump of love (touching 38 kilos), who loves to spend time with his family, whether its watching you iron, watching you wash up, or snuggling up to you on the sofa whilst you watch tv. What makes him happiest is being with his family and chewing on his favourite toy.
Major has been with his current family for around 5 months and is being re-homed through no fault of his own. He currently lives with 7 other dogs but this is too much for Major and he is finding it hard to settle into a pack life as he matures and the family have come to the hard decision that for him to have the life he craves he would be better as an only pet.
Major – walks perfect on a lead, sits at the road and knows basic commands, his recall is also perfect. On his walks he loves to chase a ball, go for a swim and loves to roll in the mud! He is happy for anyone to take him for a walk (used to a dog walker). He is crate trained, and happy to sleep in it over night and if you leave the house for a few hours.
Major adores his food, and will do anything for a treat making him easy to train. His perfect home would be where he is the only dog, no other pets (he will chase cats in the house but not outside) he also needs to be in a home with no children or children that are older. This is because he is still a puppy and is still not aware of how big and clumsy he is. Major needs a family with large breed experience who are used to a big dog in the house, who can give him the exercise he needs and the love he craves.
For anyone who is not aware of this breed they are gentle and devoted family companions, they can be stubborn (that’s the bulldog in them) and are a powerful and agile breed.
