This is the Stunning Lexi. Lexi is a 6 year old female Australian Shepherd dog. Lexi has come to us to find a new due to a relationship breakdown. Lexi’s mum has written the below write up for her. Lexi is spayed, chipped and fully vaccinated. She loves to play with other dogs, and lives with two cats and a young baby.
Lexi is a very loving girl but does take time to get use to people, she is better with women rather than men. She loves other dogs, cats and does get on with children that aren’t to in here face. She can be nervous in new environments and takes her a while to adjust. She has been in a home environment for nearly 2 years and does have a little accident now and then but you need to make her go out and go to the toilet otherwise she won’t go. She will only go to the toilet in her own garden and not when she’s out at the park etc. She does love her toys but she will bury them in the garden but will always go get them back and loves a ball. She is a little overweight and needs to lose a few lbs but she will do anything for food, even steal the cat food, so on a new diet! She does love a rawhide, pig ears etc as a treat.
She knows her commands such as bed, paw and sit. She would like either a crate or a little area of her own which gives her security, so she can go there when she wants time to herself and to feel safe. She’s not really a barker but when she does get really excited she makes a funny howling noise and will make a noise if she hears someone at the door to warn you. She loves cuddles on the sofa, but this will take time with her, she needs to gain trust but when she does she is very loving and affectionate! But she has a great little wiggle bum when she’s happy, she doesn’t have a tail but this is her breed and hasn’t been docked!!
