Bruce is a 12 month old male Akita. This stunning boy is Bruce, who found himself in the care of Friends of Akitas Trust (UK) through no fault of his own. Bruce is a real people dog that adores human companionship and just has to say hello to all he meets. He is a typical bouncy youngster who has a zest for life and full of energy. His foster family have been working with his basic training and he will sit, lie down, give both paws and his lead training is slowly coming along. He is currently walked using a head collar,so will need someone to continue with his lead training.
Bruce loves his toys and likes to play fetch although he doesn’t give the toy up easily as he likes the game of tug that follows, he is also a keen footballer. Bruce is fantastic with food around people, he takes treats nicely and doesn’t snatch. He isn’t too keen on sharing around other and can become protective of his food bowl and treats, therefore we feel although he is currently living along side 3 other dogs, a home as an only dog will only be considered to help continue with his training. He has interaction with his foster families grandchildren who he loves to interact with but due to Bruce’s bouncy nature, a home with older, dog aware children would be better suited.
Bruce is a lovely boy who is looking for a someone who can give him a little extra guidance to continue the good work of his foster family.
