Please meet the lovely laid back Jasper, a 12-year old Greyhound cross who is currently in Barry, South Wales. He is looking for a retirement sofa to call his own. Jasper was placed in kennels two years when his owner became unwell and had to move into a care home. Sadly Jasper will never be able to return to his owner so he looking for a comfy spot with lots of love and pats.
Jasper does get breaks from kennel life when the staff there have him up at the house where he quickly makes himself at home on the black leather chair with a contented sigh, he will quite happily sleep there all day and only move for food or a walk. In his younger years he loved to run and give chase with a ball or stick these days he just looks at you as if to say you threw the ball you can go and get it.
Jasper likes his walks, he tends not to run that much anymore, so just a ten minute walk a few times a day and he is happy. Unfortunately Jasper does not get on with other dogs. He is fine when on a lead but doesn’t like to share his space. Jasper is of that age where he just wants a quiet life so he will only be homed as an only dog. We at Friends of the Animals RCT are hoping to find the perfect place for him to retire. He is a lovely dog and would make a great loyal companion.
Jasper is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Potential adopters are expected to travel to meet him at the kennels near Barry, South Wales. An adoption fee will be discussed with the successful applicant.
If you are interested in adopting Jasper please read about our rehoming process and complete a Pre-Adoption form ( link here ) and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you for a chat.
