Angel is between 3 and 5 years old, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She looks a bit like a Jack Russell but in fact is a Ratonero Bodeguero Andaluz, a Spanish breed, renowned for their sweet nature. Angel was found abandoned in a deep hole, miles from anywhere in Spain and was taken to a private shelter where she remained for 18 months. The people who cared for Angel were kind, but have limited resources and the dogs never leave the pen.
She has now been in foster for three weeks and is living up to her name. She is a really sweet, affectionate dog who gets on well with other dogs and loves to play. She is now house trained and loves her walks. She loves to run with the other dogs and has good recall. She is also living happily with cats. She does get the occasional crazy moment when she spins, trying to bite herself. This is left over from suffering the confinement of the shelter and she does it less and less as she relaxes.
Angel needs a home with someone who is around for a lot of the day and preferably another confident, friendly dog, although we think she would also be okay as an only dog as long as time is spent with her. It is our policy not to home older dogs with children under 8.
