Lovely Elsa is in foster with a couple one of which is retired with their little Westie Sammy – Elsa has settled down well, they look after their Granddaughter of two each week for a couple of days and she is lovely with her. She has settled into a regular routine of walks, feeding times, bedtimes etc with no problem and is a pleasure to have around the house she is very relaxed and chilled and enjoys sleeping with no problem by the side of the bed in her bed. She is also fully house trained. She is fine off the lead and enjoys chasing her plastic bone which she prefers to a ball for some reason.
Her back ground is she was found as a stray in Spain over a year ago, she was very timid and nervous when she first arrived but soon over come this. Elsa was rehomed but unfortunately because of a change of circumstances she was returned a year later which was very sad – Elsa was very withdrawn to begin with but has bounced back.
The lady who owned her had taken her to dog training classes. She is a very sweet natured dog and is very bonded with the couple fostering her, she is a very loyal dog and has the most lovely soulful eyes.
She is an active dog and enjoys her walks and exercise, she is quite big for a terrier and she is strong on the lead especially to begin with but then settles down, we walk her in a harness with no problems and there are other products on the market to help, she is not really bad and you are not dragged along not as bad as that but she does not just trot at your side either and she has a brisk walk about her so not for people who are frail.
She does not like cats and if she see’s one on lead she will then pull properly. Other dogs she is fine, in terrier fashion sometimes can be a bit selective on the lead sometimes when meeting other dogs but 90% of the time she take no notice and she is fine with other dogs off the lead.
Elsa is a beautiful dog with a big heart, the perfect person is out there, we can imagine her going to live with someone active maybe who lives on their own who wants a friend as she will be your best friend, she loves her walks.
