Scampi and Chip – 8 year old male West Highland White Terriers

Scampi and Chip are a bonded pair of West Highland Terriers aged around 8 years of age, who are being fostered in RCT, South Wales. Both boys are always pleased to meet and greet you even if you have only been out of the room for a few minutes! They are very good at telling you that there is someone at the door but do not over bark. They both like to lie on your lap and they love cuddles. They are both fine with other dogs of different ages, they have not been tested with cats. They are both lead trained, they pull a little but are getting better as this is worked on. Recall has been tested in the garden and this will need some work.

As yet they have only been left for short periods and have not been crate tested. Both boys are not at all destructive and are very well behaved in the house. They show no inclination to jump the fences, they are both happy to walk around the garden. They are both happy to play with toys and are good at feeding times. Both Scampi and Chip are very happy to be touched, they love a fuss from anyone. They have met children while out on a walk and are happy to be petted. They both love the car but have not been tested at the vets yet. Both lads are very good in the house with no problems. They are housetrained and have a very gentle temperament.

Scampi and Chip need to be rehomed together in a home where someone is at home for most of the day. They are very loving dogs and like to be around their humans. They mix well with other dogs but would be happy in a home where they were the only dogs and have all the cuddles to themselves! They would like a forever family who will enjoy cuddles on the sofa with them. They would be okay with older children but as they are older dogs who like to sleep we would not rehome them with small children. Their foster dad says they are an absolute joy!

Scampi and Chip are up to date with their vaccinations, and are micro-chipped. They are neutered. Prospective adopters will be expected to travel to meet them in their foster home in South Wales.
