Charlie is a young Lurcher mix boy puppy, 11 weeks old. This is an update from his foster Mum not long after he arrived in to the rescue. Charlie has settled in really well. He loves to play with our two Jack Russell’s and gets on well with ours cats. He doesn’t chase or harass them, in fact he curls up and sleeps with them! He plays well with the children too (5 & 12 years old) and loves to fetch the ball and play tug of war.
He does need to be reminded about keeping paws on the floor, but he is still young and learning. He is nervous of new people when he first meets them but that doesn’t last long. He happily toilets outside, even in the rain.
We have had a couple of accidents indoors, but that aside his toilet training is coming along nicely. He knows his name already and comes when he is called. He’s not a big fan of the crate but we are working on that daily. He’s a quick learner and has learnt the sit, paw and down commands in just a few days.
With patience and training this lovely boy really is going to be a super dog. He’s so affectionate and loving and loves being made a fuss of!
